ABOUT
Louisville Ballet and Bellarmine University have joined together to create impactful programs rooted in the belief that movement and learning go hand-in-hand. Both programs support making dance, education, and the arts more accessible to all. Read more below about this unique partnership.
ARTS ADMINISTRATION DEGREE PROGRAM
Dancers shouldn’t have to choose between a professional career in dance and a college degree — and with this groundbreaking partnership, they don’t have to. The new Bachelor of Arts in Arts Administration: Dance Track is an innovative program for dancers who want to train at an elite level while earning a college degree. The asynchronous online program is designed to integrate seamlessly with a dancer’s full-time schedule and create pathways to professional careers on the stage and beyond. This program was developed as a Studio Company track, but professional Company Artists are also eligible. Click here to read more about the Studio Company and the degree track.
Gentle Movement
A partnership with Norton Neuroscience Institute and Bellarmine University, the Gentle Movement program makes dance accessible for adults with movement disorders. The class combines beginner ballet techniques and social dances in a safe and creative environment. The 12-week series of classes can help participants with balance, flexibility, and coordination while building strength, endurance and muscle memory.
