Summer Overview Camps + Classes Intensives Dress Guidelines
JUNIOR INTENSIVE (Ages 9 – 14)^ $515

This program offers intensive-style ballet training while also being introduced to other styles of dance. There will be a placement class on the first day to determine dancer level. Dancers begin each day with ballet and end the day exploring electives that may include modern, cultural dance, musical theater and more! This program culminates in an informal performance for friends & family.
Session 2 participants will be invited to perform in the Kentucky Shakespeare Pre-Show on August 10th!
^Appropriate for 2023-2024 School Year students in Classical Ballet levels III – IX , Teen Ballet and Pre-Professional level 1. New students ages 9+ with at least one year of ballet experience are welcome to enroll.
PRE – INTENSIVE PROGRAM (Ages 12 – 18)* $515

This early summer program held at the Downtown Studios gives serious dance students intensive-style ballet training while also exploring other styles of dance. This program is ideal for those students needing to prep for a full Summer Intensive program and for those who are not quite ready for our 4-week summer intensive program. Dancers begin each day with ballet technique and pre-pointe/pointe and end the day with repertoire, and electives that may include modern, character, yoga and more! This program culminates in an informal performance for friends & family.
*Appropriate for students of The Louisville Ballet School who were enrolled in in Classical Ballet levels VI – IX or Pre-Professional levels 1 – 6 during the 2023-2024 School Year. New students, ages 12-18 with at least two years pre-pointe OR one year of pointe experience, are welcome to enroll.
**Class times will vary by level placement. Prior to the start of the program, families will be notified with their student’s level placement.

Louisville Ballet Summer Intensive is a 4-week program intended for professionally aspiring dancers ages 12 and up. Selective admittance to the Louisville Ballet Summer Intensive is offered through an annual audition tour.
ADULT SUMMER INTENSIVE (Ages 18+) $550 for Full Day / $300 for Half Day / $300 for Evening Extension

The Adult Summer Intensive is open to ages 18+ and will suit the beginner through advanced dancer. Daily classes include Ballet Technique, Pointe Strengthening, Jump Strengthening, Modern, Jazz, Feldenkrais, Yoga and Variations that will be part of an in-studio showcase for Full Program participants.
