The Intermediate and Pre-Professional Divisions
are for those students with a serious interest in dance. At the
Louisville Ballet
School, we expect and maintain a standard of excellence and professionalism.
Students invited into our
pre-professional program understand and agree to meet these expectations.
It is our goal to inspire a passion for dance in all of our students.
For more information about the
School's Pre-Professional Programs, contact Elizabeth
Hartwell.
The Primary and Elementary Divisions are designed to develop
coordination, musicality and kinetic awareness, as well as
to implant a love
for dance and the arts. The skills and awareness gleaned
from participation in dance as a child will build skills
valuable
for a lifetime.
Students are placed in appropriate level based on a placement
assessment.
The Youth Open Division Dance Program classes are for both
new students and students who are at a level where they
wish to enter
the school, but find that classes in our Children’s and Primary
levels are not appropriate. Classes may be taken individually or
combined with ballet. Our teachers are qualified to assess a student’s
level in class and to make appropriate recommendations upon request.
The Adult Open Division is geared
for the novice to professional-level dancer. Dance Access I and
II are classes for children, teens and adults and are designed
for people of all abilities. Classes are taught at our St. Matthew’s
location which is fully accessible to all students. Please contact
Elena M. Fillmore for more information. Classes are offered
in Ballet and
Pilates. The Adult Division classes are ongoing and
registered dancers
may attend
as many classes as they wish.

School's Open Division Programs, contact Elena
M. Fillmore.
