Steeped in the romantic-era traditions, Giselle tells the tale of a young peasant girl who dies of a broken heart after discovering her lover is betrothed to another. When a group of supernatural women summon Giselle from her grave and target her lover for death, it is Giselle’s love that frees him from their grasp.

Each year we are thrilled to share this holiday treat with Louisville audiences. Always a delight, we’ll travel through the land of the Sugar Plum Fairy on a magic-filled journey with Marie and the Nutcracker prince!

DIRECTOR’S CHOICE | April 10 & 11, 2015
A mixed repertory program designed by the Louisville Ballet’s new Artistic Director. While this new voice has not yet been selected, it will be an incredible experience to close the season!
This performance will be held in the Brown Theatre.
The Louisville Ballet’s in-studio productions give you a chance to see the artists of the company “up close and personal” in our rehearsal studios on Main Street. Tickets for the Studio Series are available at the Louisville Ballet box office – 315 E. Main Street, (502) 583-2623.
STUDIO CONNECTIONS | October 15 – 18, 2014
An extraordinary range of choreography performed by the full company in an intimate setting, Studio Connections presents selections from classical and contemporary ensemble, solo and pas de deux works.

We give you first look at new pieces created and performed by the artists of the Louisville Ballet. One of the most popular performances in the season, our company gets an opportunity to hone their craft and share their vision with a live audience.
In-studio performances are not part of a subscription package but subscribers can purchase discount tickets for $20 per ticket. Regular ticket prices are $25 per ticket. Performances take place at the Louisville Ballet Studios at 315 E. Main Street. These events sell out, and space is limited. Purchasing tickets in advance is recommended.
