Classes

Intermediate & Advanced

Students invited into the Intermediate and Advanced Divisions at the Louisville Ballet School aspire to a high standard of excellence and professionalism. It is our goal to inspire a passion for dance and encourage students to realize their individual potential through the attention offered by our world-class faculty. Students’ dance education in this division includes pointe work, variations and repertoire as well as the opportunity to train and perform in complimentary dance disciplines. Classes are held at the Downtown Studios and St. Matthews Studios.

Chosen each year by audition, Intermediate and Advanced students are selected for the Louisville Ballet Youth Ensemble.  The Youth Ensemble was founded in 1952 and is now in its sixty-first year training the finest dancers and choreographers of tomorrow.

The Intermediate and Advanced divisions are for those students with a serious interest in dance and are by placement only.

Classes are held at the Downtown Studios and St. Matthews Studios.
