Classes
Elementary Division
Elementary Division students continue to develop coordination, musicality, and kinetic awareness while building upon skills learned in the Primary Division. In a more structured class environment, the instructors nurture the students’ love for dance and the arts through the disciplined study of classical ballet technique. Students are placed into the Elementary Division based on their age and level of dance experience. Classes are held at the St. Matthews Studios.

Elementary I
$490 per semester | twice per week
Elementary II
$580 per semester | twice per week
Elementary III
$580 per semester | twice per week

Dress Code
Elementary I level girls wear a light-blue leotard, plain white socks, and pink full-sole ballet slippers. No tights or skirts, please. Hair must be kept off the face and neck. Long hair must be prepared in a neat bun secured with hairpins and hairnet. Boys wear a tight-fitting white t-shirt or leotard, black or gray tights with dance belt, plain white socks, and black or white full-sole ballet shoes.
Elementary II-IV level girls wear a light-blue leotard, pink tights, and pink full-sole ballet slippers. No skirts, please. Hair must be kept off the face and neck. Long hair must be prepared in a neat bun secured with hairpins and hairnet. Boys wear a tight-fitting white t-shirt or leotard, black or gray tights with dance belt, plain white socks, and black or white full-sole ballet shoes. Elementary IV girls will also wear Pre-Pointe Shoes for Pre-Pointe Class. Information on sewing Pre-Pointe Shoes can be found in our Pointe Library.
*Elementary IV students are expected to attend ballet class three times a week if they wish to register for Pre-Pointe class. Elementary IV students are also expected to register for at least one Youth Open Division elective class per semester. Students will receive a 50% discount on their first elective class and a 75% discount on any additional elective classes.
