LOUISVILLE BALLET TO IGNITE THE STAGE WITH CHING CHING WONG’S CHOREOGRAPHY TO THE SONGS OF LOUISVILLE’S OWN JACK HARLOW IN THE WORLD PREMIERE OF 502
Louisville, KY — Louisville Ballet is thrilled to announce an inventive new performance from acclaimed choreographer Ching Ching Wong, featuring the music of rapper and Louisville native, Jack Harlow, for an electrifying new performance titled 502.
This world premiere incorporates Wong’s choreography soundtracked by Harlow’s dynamic and electrifying music, creating a vibrant and exhilarating experience for all. This one-of-a-kind integration of the Ballet and contemporary music promises to be a mesmerizing and unforgettable experience for audiences.
“502 is a celebration of voices and communities coming together in a way that is singular to Louisville,” said Ching Ching Wong. “With the Artists of Louisville Ballet and the hip hop music of Jack Harlow, we challenge what is and what can be. I’m thrilled to return to Louisville Ballet and looking forward to sharing work made in and for the 502 community.”

About Ching Ching Wong:
Ching Ching Wong is an acclaimed choreographer known for her unique and innovative approach to dance. With a diverse background in classical ballet and contemporary movement, Wong’s work challenges traditional norms and pushes artistic boundaries to create captivating and thought-provoking performances. Born in Manila, raised in Los Angeles, Ching Ching Wong is a performer, creator, rehearsal director for Ballets Jazz Montréal, and stager for Swiss choreographer Ihsan Rustem. Recipient of the Princess Grace Award and named Dance Magazine’s 25 to watch, her career began at Northwest Dance Project. Committed to dance education in underserved communities, Wong is founder of Project Salamat, a global outreach program which toured 17 cities and 11 countries. 502, in collaboration with the music of Jack Harlow for Louisville Ballet, will premiere Fall 2024.
